If you can't find anything close with all their base maps call tech support at Zippers. 410-579-2828x120. They should be able to recommend one and have about 10 new maps to download.
Build Specs are 2008 ultra, S&S 106 kit with big boyz porting, crank trued welded plugged and lightened,D&D quiet baffle,SE 204 cams.
Ordered Tmax from moto with a custom map, ran like crap ,timing curve not even close.I tried map 29 alot better but still not good. What i did was copy timing from map 399 old non tbw maps into tbw map 29, bingo runs pretty good.Map 399 is for andrews 37 cam very close to 204 cam specs. After trying a bunch of different maps i am of the opinion that the first thing to match up is cam timing with the Tmax, then the rest or it will never run right.
I am going to change the cam in the future, the 204 with early intake close is not the best for me because of detonation and having to retard the timing down low to compensate. The Tmax is easy to tune and use ,but you must have the timing right.
I was setting mine up this weekend before it took a dump on me. According to ZIPPERS, the 103 map with your setup will be close enough to get you in the ball field. Are you using the autotune module? If so, just crank in the 103 map and you'll be in the ball park. If not, call them but I think it should get you to the dyno.
The heads are coming in today from Bigboyz, waiting on the cam tool from Gary Beaty, ordered this morning. Hoping to have motor back together next weekend.
Still wondering what map to use for this build, appreciate any advice.
Thanks nevil, just talked with them they recommended the 553 then 398, their maps are for dished pistons but he said this will get the cam close so timing sould nt be an issue. Now to assemble it without screwing something up.
