Default Concerns about the Plug after the PCIII upgrade

I installed the PCIII following the directions and had the old plug outside the electonics case away from the exhaust, but it seems to get hot none the less. Now am I just being overly critical, it is not touching anything and I think the heat is just what radiates from the cyclinders. Mind you I rode for 1/2 hour this morning and could still touch it.

Thoughts, am I just worrying about nothing?

Thanks

I had to put the plug in the same place, forward of the electrical box up against the frame behind the second cylinder. Its been that way for thwo months and no prop's. Haven't checked to see how hot it gets, but its still there!! It was tight in there trying to stuff that stuff back in, whata PITA, so much for the 15 minute instal. What you have should work fine, as long as it's not touching anything. IMO

Same here. There's not much room back there for the module, much less the doubled-up plugs. I zip tied mine using the small holes in the frame between the gas tank and seat. Threaded the ties down into the ECM area around the plugs and yanked it in tight. It's closer than I'd like it to be to the cylinder but I don't think it gets too hot. No problems yet anyway...

Put mine in the same spot. Over 10k miles later no problems. 'Knock on wood' of course.

I Put my V&H Fuelpak in the same location after I couldn't fit it under the seat. So far no problems. There are other wires in the same area, which I don't think Harley would have put there if the heat was a major problem.
