Default Almost a new bike

As some of you know, I have had a surging problem with my bike forever as well as vibrations in the bars and pegs.

I can say that I have FINALLY resolved most of my issues.

Thanks to nkauf21, who was having surging problems, he put me on the track of looking at the Throttle Position Sensor. Seeing as how I had replaced most everything else on the engine it seemed to make sense that something as easy as this could be the culprit. WELL, IT WAS!! I unplugged the darn thing and then reseated it again. Almost all the surging is GONE!! It must have had a bad connection or something. Needless to say, I went ahead and bought a new one just in case.

As far as the vibrations in the pegs and handlebars go, I replaced my rear isolator the other day (a 2 beer job, front was only a 1 beer job), rebalanced the motor and now I would say that 90% of the vibrations are GONE!!

I took the bike out today and it is like riding a completely different machine. I can see out my mirrors and it doesn't feel like the motor is twisting when I downshift. The bike tracks straight as an arrow and now with the surging gone it holds steady at any RPM that I ride in. I was going 95MPH on the interstate and I didn't notice any vibes in the feet or hands. I could ride it all day this way now.

I want to thank everyone on this forum for all the helpful tips that you give to your fellow riders. Without your advise I would have traded the Streetbob in for a Geezer Glide because I was beginning to think the Dynas were too rough for me.

BTW - I also noticed that my air cleaner used to get super hot when I rode. When I got back from my ride today I could put my hand on it without burning myself. I am betting that the bike was running really lean due to the TPS being screwed up.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear that you got the problem fixed finally. I thought it was weird when I literally unplugged it and plugged it back in and everything was fixed. I ordered a new sensor also, but I'm not going to install it unless the problem comes back. But about six different rides since I fixed mine and I haven't had a problem yet. Knock on wood!
