Painting over powder coat????
This is my first post. I just found your site and love it. It really got my creative juices flowing. I wasn't sure how to send this directly to the powder pro JRK. But I have an 08 super glide with apes. I had them powdercoated flat black when I got the bike in 08 but I want them gloss black now. Can I use the epoxy paint as I read in another thread to go over the powder coat? All my wires are run inside the bars and I'm not gona pull them out. If so how would I go about that? Thanks in advanced.
scuff it, with some 800 grit or a scuff pad and shoot away! should be fine... however, the epoxy is really picky what it goes over, i have never shot it on top of powder, so i am not sure how it will react bud, but you can just scuff the powder and shoot paint over it, after you scuff wipe down wiht some denatured alchole... again not sure how the epoxy paint will like that as a base coat but you can try
