Default Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather

I was wondering how much your dealer charged to install the Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather plus down load.I already own the part so am looking at labor cost/how many hours did it take them? I have been doing all my work since getting my Fat bob but have the Heavy Breather and know I will need a down load so I guess I may have to go back to the dealer for this install.

Save the labor cost and do it yourself. I installed mine myself and it's pretty easy. The download I had the dealer perform at my 1000 mi service. I've done the 5000 mi service myself. I only took it in for the first one since I was just being cautious.

See attached receipt for what they charged me.

I am planning on having the SE Heavy Breather and Street Performance Exhaust Kit #29408-08 installed by the dealer during winter storage. The kit goes for $620 and the install with the remap is 2.3 hrs labor $149.50. I don't have the tools or space to wrench, so it's cool with me.

If you already have the heavy breather, install it yourself. It takes about 20 minutes and is pretty simple. Then just ride it to the dealer for the download. Just don't hammer the bike until you get the download.

I was alittle worried about installing the breather incase the bike ran real rough or died alot since I am 1.5 hour drive away from a dealer. I enjoy doing the work myself though there's just a since of pride plus it saves money for more parts!

I do some of me own work, but don't go where I think I could hurt something like electricals.

The HB is an easy, straight forward install. Just follow the directions in the box.

Do you guys think it will still run good/smooth enough to give me no trouble on the 1.5 hour trip if I do the install at home? If not I am going for it I have the tools ready to roll.

It won't harm the motor to change it out and ride to the dealer. Download isn't much of a change. If your only changing the air breather.
