That is a Milwaukee Iron 180 degree fender blank made out of about 11 gauge steel. I found it on ebay really cheap. Then had to cut over 3" out of the middle and weld it back together so it would fit between the struts. There is a thread on here somewhere about it and the paint job I put on the fender and tank.
About 9 years ago when I had my 91 springer I had the rear fender off of it doing something, what I don't remember but I decided to take it for a spin without the fender. I had to ride down about 200 yds of gravel road to get to the black top. Somewhere on that gravel road a rock got stuck in the rear tire tread. When I got up to about 60 that rock came loose and hit the back of my head. A lesson was learned that day.
Bobbed is definitely the way to go for the for the drag strip, otherwise dragger all the way. Wait .... drag strip...dragger... I'm so confused. Ghostrider's avitar has me all messed up.

oh, well see, the problem was you didn't duck!
no but really, It depends on the tire. I'm running a crotch rocket tire and there's not a lot of groves for rocks to hide. Especially in the center of the tire it's pretty much a drag tire.
