I put saddlebags on my 06 Street Bob (ya, I know, but I needed em...). I relocated the turn signals directly to the fender. Well I noticed a small crack starting in the fendera few weeks ago...
So I left the house this morning and as I headed up the street I heard this gawd-awful clatter from the bike and thumped over something. Shut it down and turned around to find out WTF.
Never got around to drilling that relief hole for the crack and the fender gave way and dropped the turn signal down onto my pulley. Glad it didnt lock up the rear wheel and pitch me out into the street.
So...bobbed fender or taildragger when I replace it??
Leaning toward the taildragger. Had a Softtail years ago with one and loved the look.
