Went for an all day ride last Saturday with a riding buddy. Later in the day as we stopped for a coke, I noticed my ignition/fork lock was acting funny. It turned, but it was stiff. After I got it started, we rode some more. On the next stop, I thought I was going to be stranded. It was really difficult to turn but I finally got it to the "on" position and rode it home. I lubed the lock and inspected the lock pin to see if it was canted or anything unusual. Everything looked OK. Even after the lube it was still hard to turn. That's when I looked down the barrel of the key and saw something in there. I got a tooth pick and picked out a good sized wad of pocket lint! Problem solved. Duh. Put that one in the memory bank.
Was there a mfgr date fix? I have not had the problem w/the lock, but always have to move the wheel to get the unlock to work. That seems normal to me, so did they fix it on the end run of production?
