Thanks for the heads up. I took that into consideration, heres a clip of them on an 06' SB. (Not sure if this dude has other upgrades to his Bob or not though.) Still sound pretty good to me and I like the shorter style vs the street sweepers.
Nice! IMO those side shots sound better then your 2-1 from burnout thread. Just an opinion. Did you end up w/the V&H shots or is your current pipe that 2-1?
I just put the Supermeg on a few months ago, the Sideshots sounded badass and I got complements all of the time with them but they were a little too loud, I had to be light on the throttle on the late night rides. I just closed the cap last night and it's even quieter now. I'll be doing a quiet burnout tomorrow.
Here's a link to my Fat Bob with the Bubs Lakester 2 into 1. Lots of other mods since the video but you'll get an idea of the sound. I think it sounds even deeper now as this video was just a week or so after I put them on...
Mimo, It only looks that way in the video. It doesn't do that in "real" life. Plus, I don't have it installed anymore. That video is from last November...
If you are partial to V&H and want deep sound from a 2-2 setup, I think your best bet will be the big shot staggered, double barrel, or the long shots. I have tried various baffles and baffle arraignments, and I still have not gotten the deep sound I want from my side shots. I have been told the quiet baffles will give a deeper tone, but I have not tried them yet.
They definitely do. I have short shots with the "quiet" baffles and they take alot of the high pitch out of the exhaust note that I hated about the standard baffles.
BTW, after about 6000 miles, they have gotten alot louder, but still maintained the deeper note and way quieter than standard baffles.''
A good option for those that like short pipes but want a deeper sound.
