Fall-away

I have seen the term "fall-away" used in here before but I'm not sure what it is. What is it? How do you correct it? I know to some this may sound like a stupid question but I am not familiar with it. I ride a wide glide, are they more prone to it than other models?

It is a term to describe the adjustment of the head bearings in the triple trees. When you have the bike raised on a stand or jack you can adjust the point and rate at which the front forks fall from center position to the stop in either direction. The procedure for this adjustment is described in the factory shop manual.

It's the the distance your front wheel moves off center before it falls away on its own when jacked off the ground. It's lets you know whether your steering head is to tight or loose.
