Hey guys, poppin in from the softail section. One of my brothers has a '10 street bob. He is not a huge fan of the stock tail light. Other than getting that one powder coated, have you guys found many other options? I told him he should get rid of it, but has anyone started making the plates to cover the holes similar to the one Kuryakyn makes for the licence plate holes on earlier models? Also has anyone found a black Sparto that will fit with little to no issues
Some people have cut the "license-part" of the sparto, and usually painted the whole thing black, when they move the licenseplate. There are black spartos from shops also, i know one, but they are currently rebuilding the onlineshop. I thought kuryakyn already had plates that would fit the street bob, but it might just be for - 08.
There are threads about filling up the fender, but the easy way is to put bolts or the H-D plastic-things instead, doesn´t look that strange.
Check out this thread. A few have removed the sparto and chopped the fender to enliminate the holes. Looks great IMO... Thinking about doing this myself later down the road.

I just got the chopped fender kit from Harley, But I had already pulled the center light long before I installed the fender, I just rolled with the hole. He can just unplug the center lightand depin the connector and pull the wires out, via the connector under the seat. I biggest problem I had was securing the two sets of wire that go to the two side lights. After doing that you can use just about any fender you can get your hands on, as long as it fits the strut spacing.

Kept the Sparto, painted it black & and got rid of those big ugly chrome ***** they use as turn sigs.
I was not and am still not sure what I am going to do with my rear fender but I could not stand the chrome signals and sparto. As soon as I got mine I painted them all black. It makes the rear of the bike look much better and it wont cost anything. A cheap fix until I can make up my mind on how I want my rear fender and lights.
