turn signal relocation help

Please help!! I am installing a quick release backrest on my 03 dyna wide glide and I need help! I can't get the turn signal wires to go through the stalks. The wires will go in about 2 inches and stop then start bending. I have tried spraying the inside with white lithium grease and wd-40 and using needle nose pliers but that just messes up the insulation on the wires. Any help will be greatly appreciated THANKS!!

did the kit include new tips for the wires? If yes then clip the old one's off, they will push through and attach the new ends after they are through. If it didnt cut down from the end about an inch or so, strink through then soder and heat shrink tape when done. Test fit everything after the wires are through to make sure you didn't do like I did and forgot to put a washer, had to cut, unstring, restring and solder again.

All you have to do is take apart the connector!! Just look at and you can figure it out, just be gentle. Then they slide straight through!! There is no need for cutting.
