Default Front turn signal wire re-routing ????'s

I need to re route my turn signal wires after relocating the sigs to the forks.

Is there a crimp type connector I could utilize to connect the wires if I just cut them?
Thinking there may be an easy female to male plug I could use to make the job easy. If so where can I get it? Napa, Car quest?

Should I just man up and take apart the connectors? I am just feeling really lazy today. Dont really feel like taking the tank off etc...

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Default re route

Better to be safe than sorry......Re route them the proper way its not that hard and should only take a few minutes to complete I have fixed numerous bikes where people tried to "shortcut" wiring........Electrical can get real ugly real fast

You can actually take the signal assys apart to reroute wires if you think that is easier - but the correct way to to do it at the connectors... its really not that hard.

The best way is to undo the factory connector. There is a great post by Mudd with videos and a great write up for taking the connectors apart. If you want to cut and the splice the wires instead, Solder the connections and use Shrink Wrap. Do Not USe Crimp Connectors. Over time they can fail due to vibration and moisture getting in, and like stev394 stated "Electrical can get real ugly real fast". Do it right the first time....

+1 on not using crimps! If you don't wanna take apart the connector (It's not that difficult you can use a paper clip) there's a video on you tube. I would use solder and shrink wrap as stated by others, for a good clean sealed connection. Those crimps suck and they corrode and just cause problems down the road. Do it right now or pay later man.

+1 on this. I just did mine and it was easy. I had never did this before but it was pretty easy. Good luck what ever way you do it.
