so i decided to put a three inch lift on the tank. Looks F***ing amazing. the tank now follows the lines alot better and the glare off the dash is gone. i now have an issue with fill ups. gas leaks out of the cap (Vents) on take off and shifting. I found a quick fix is to wrap paper towel around the cap before tightening. would pop up caps help? anyone with an idea? second thing is i now need to either change the bars with some z bars (Biltwell preferred by me) or put some 8" risers on it. i am however, having trouble finding the right ones. BLACK! that's it. all of the nice ones are chrome and the black ones are boring or short. any thoughts?

dont put so much gas in the tank at fillup. i did a 2" lift and always fill mine all the way up and have never had a problem.
as far as the bars go, do what i did. find the right set and just have em powdercoated. done deal.

i guess i will have to find the sweet spot to stop filling up. i figured the route to go with the bars would be a powder coating some good ones. good thing the gas stations always have papertowels

Seen a lot of these lately, How's the new higher center of gravity with a full gas tank, just curious if you did it just for looks or any other reason...?

i had a problem with gas leaking from the cap, i eventually got the flush mount pop up gas cap/gauge, it has a o ring on the cap and seals tight.

Gas cap was bad. New OEM cap cured it. Was less than 2 years old and the cap went bad.
