Default Harbor Freight lift

What do people think of the yellow Harbor Freight Yellow motorcycle lift? 1500 Lb capacity?

It looks identical to the Sears red and black bike lift I have.

If it is, then you need an adapter from Haley to place under the Dyna frame so the bike sits level. At least on my 03 frame.

The jiffy stand protector (skid plate?) interferes with the pad location of the lift,

Looking again, I do not see where the yellow jack has a "lock" positioner to keep the lift from leaking back down. The Sears jack has a ratchet looking arm that has three welded in stops that the arm seats against so that the hydraulic jack can leak down but not lower the bike,

I would make sure some kind of lock is on the jack prior to buying, as the Sears bottle leaks down.

I bought one a while back & it works great. The only issue I have with it is my 94 FXDWG sits pretty low so I have to stand the bike straight up to roll it under it. Not really a problem. Best purchase I have made.I have used it alot between the stripped drive pully repair, front & rear tire replacement & rear wheel bearings.

I have the yellow Harbor Freight jack and it works well for me. I use rubber blocks to make it level. Great for cleaning the wheels. At $69 I am happy

It does have the ratchet stops to keep it from sinking. The way the jack is designed, you can actually take the four bolts holding the plates on and move them to the outside of the jack, eliminating the need for lift block adapters. I like mine.

I am glad the lift has the stops.

You can just barely see the arm in the lowest part of the picure of my lift,

Mine.... wheels don't roll worth a damn & the bottle jack won't stay up, I haven't figured out how to fix the jack yet... for a dozen $ more or so I could've bought a Craftsman on sale.

i have the alum one we only use it on the bike tables to lift a bike, IMO it is not stable enough on the ground, but on the biek table after the bike is in the air we can strap it down to the table to support it. i am a fan of the craftsman jack though use mine alot
