i just put 6" pullbacks on my '09 fat bob also. easy install, screws nearest tank hard to get at but not impossible. mine were twisty till i got everything torqued down now they are fine. i went with the chrome ones as my bars are chrome. much more comfortable now.bought hd ones mail order from zanotti motors hd
the flexing of the bars is a strange issue, if they didnt flex befor and all we did was change the pull backs and everything else was the same why now???

Torque and length. Did you use the same bushings or different? If the same they may have been compressed beyond original specs and not able to fill the need so to speak.
If you torqued to man. spec, I have found that is not enough when you go higher, add about 10-15 lbs of torque.
A couple inches higher will make a big difference as you still have the same footprint at the mounting point. You have more leverage now.

I am curious if you had the same experience I did. I installed 6" pull backs from HD on my '10 FXDWG and my bars were twisting all over the place to a dangerous extent. The fix was polly bushings, to replace the stock rubber. Any issues with your install?

Sometimes the treaded recess is different on the new risers, and they will not tighten all the way like the originals (they bottom our before getting tight). I have found that sometimes I have needed to replace the riser bolt to a 1/4" shorter bolt in oder to tighten without the bolt bottoming out.
I believe the p/n is 56267-09 for the HD 6" pull back risers. Hope that helps. Also I have my stock ones for sale if anyone is interested. I posted on E-bay and they did not sell. A few days before a used pair sold for $58.50, they are $129.95 new (55996-09)
