THanks everyone for your posts & photo's. Looks like it's gotta be the detachable. Hey dope man21, is yours a medium low on your bike?. I do like the look of it, the sissy bar & the bike & do you think it would be o.k. with the low profile "badlander" seat on my bike?

According to the HD website mine looks like the low to me, I posted part numbers in my last post. I don't know right off which mine is, the OL purchased it for me on my birthday so she would be comfortable riding. As far as the looks with your seat, I will say I have yet to see a set-up that did not look good.

Mine is a Low, it's a little taller than the Medium Low.

I have a LR.......and have no rattle. Probably because for some reason, mine's a BITC* to get on and off. I can hardly squeeze the release lever.....and to put it back on, is just as bad and I cant get the lever pin to "snap in" and lock down. It's like it's too tight where it's suppose to snap on. I have the LOW Upright Medallion Style backrest and it's perfect for either a small or large piece of luggage on.
Part numbers for my sissy bar are: 52735-85 and the backrest pad is the "Smooth Top Stitched" style number 52612-95.

Here's what it looks like with my Sundowner seat........or on with the Stock Seat ( see my signature photo)

Hey Centerline, Which height sissy bar did you have here and what T Bag is that? Do you guys have any pics of the quick detatch hardware without the sissy bar attatched? Thinking of going this route, so I can pack camping gear.

I know a sh*t ton of people with "detachable" sissy bars and EVERY TIME I see them they have their sissy bars on.... just an observation...

Well, no doubt I will be using it for long hauls, but I will definitely not be leaving it on when not in use. I just have this feeling that a saddlebag will get caught in my wheel or something. So the detatchable sissybar/rack/t bag combo fits the bill. Plus I can remove the whole deal when I get to my destination and my bike will still look cool.

Can't argue that logic... sounds like the detach is the way to go for you...
