got mine on the lower left tube on the down frame. It's just wrapped around the frame tube, that s in NC though. I've known several people go for years without a sticker, because you cant see it. I wont take the chance though, fines'll get ya these days.

My 06 DWG has it under the license plate on the rear. I really dislike the look of it and am searching for an alternative to the plastic fender extension.

Here in Australia we are required to fix the sticker to the rear plate or the left side of the bike.

My insp. plate with sticker is bolted to the frame under the voltage regulator, facing forward, it gets a little dirty, but no other issues, I'm in NC.

I know someone years back that pulled that (w/a car) inspection sticker, must be put on by a license PA inspector on the left side down tube (at least it’s the ugly lean side : - )

No bolt on plates, if a plate is used must be welded on the left side.

CJ, where in God's name do you live in Pa? Somebody is giving you some wrong info man. Everyone that I know that have scoots, have inspection plates. Heck, I know a State Trooper that has a scoot with an inspection plate. When I got my new bike inspected, they asked me where I wanted my plate mounted! Tim

<”CJ, where in God's name do you live in Pa? Somebody is giving you some wrong info man.”>

: - ) I live in south/eastern PA approx 20 miles from the Philly border (should be more like 200 miles more west : )

Sorry for the confusion, I just I didn’t make my self clear on the post I should have said plates are used in this state.

On the left side down tube is the official place in the PA inspection book, been that way (as far as I know) for the past few decades.

You are right with the plates back in the 80’s people with bike inspections places, were doing plates but stated “must be welded on” myself and some buddies wanted to get it off the down tube, put it on the left side of the swing-arm (as far front as possible right before the bend-out, could hardly see it ! ), but I didn’t want it welded on so I put a bead of PC-7 epoxy on the top plate along the top of the swing-arm, painted it black, look just like a weld job, did 3 bikes we all use stainless steel plates ¼” larger than the sticker.

A few years back while my swing-arm was off, I wanted it powder-coated, so before it was done I took a hammer to the back and one shot it came off.

Tim, As I said your right about the plates in PA being used, but believe it if they are bolted-on it’s illegal why, cause one would have a easy time just un-bolting it and sealing the sticker and you know how PA is about their stickers, talk to someone who inspects and ask them what they have to do on a screw-up ! you just don’t throw-out the sticker, it get put in a book in case the State Trooper oh yeah now they use retired state workers, come to look at the books.

Do dealers put them on, yes it’s gotten real lax, but “bolt-on plates” are illegal, really.
