Yup 7's have same timing and duration as 6-6's just more lift. Might be waiting to get heads done all in one shot. Dont like my scoot being down as I ride at least 5-6 days out of the week.
the cams make a hell of a jump, i did it then heads very quickly after, I have as much as i can do unless i do a big bore.I used adjustable push rods and change my cam bearings out for the se ones. that is huge like double the rollers. but loner is still the man!
what are your dyno results looking like 96 w cams vs w/ heads. Im so on the fence about head work on my cammed 96", but have such a hard time justifying about $1000 installed for heads when that would get me a chrome front end and chrome outer primary.

The headwork would really compliment the cams and 'wake them up.
Where are you buying your chrome that $1000 only gets you forks and a primary? I got my chrome front end kit off ebay for less than half of the cost of new, and the kit was BRAND NEW. A chrome outer primary can probably be had fairly cheap on ebay with people selling their take-off's because they put a black one on.
Also, replacing the heads is something uou can do if you can operate a ratchet and/or open end wrenches. Sending them off to a company like bigboyz and spending $300-$400 on the headwork (increase compression slightly, port job etc). Reinstalling the heads isn't rocket science.

Most cams have a later closing intake valve, that bleeds off compression, getting the compression right for the cams will make a big difference in performance. It was worth it to me. My bike is kinda bad for a 96".
Talked with Zippers for a while today looking for headwork advice. Love dealing with Zippers they have always shot me straight. More or less told me with the 575 cams I wont see the large gains w head work because the cam was designed to be ideal w stock heads and stock compression. I said thanks for the advice and I will prolly save my money... Then as always, I got the pitch about the Zippers Thunder Max being gods gift to tuners.
J shull I travel to the Kansas City area pretty often during the summer, Ill look you up and we can run our 96" to see how stuff measures up.
