I also have a pair of Wool lined Deer Skin gauntlet style gloves. They are the best gloves I've ever put on. I got them from a local bike shop here for about 80 bucks. But you can get em on line to. Call these guys and they'll answere any questions.... MADE IN THE USA TOO! http://www.geierglove.com/products.asp
Hey antman27, Thanks for starting this thread. I bought a pair of snowmobile gloves last year for cold weather riding hear in Northeast, NY. Way to thick, can't feel what you need to feel. Not sure about anyone else, but I have spent a **** load of bucks trying to find a decent fitting pair of riding gloves. Tried everything, including police duty gloves with kevlar, they fell apart after two weeks. Needed a pair of gloves to ride to Catskill Mountain Thunder and picked up a pair of Wells Lamont deer skin palms and multi fabric body at Walmart. These have to be the best gloves I have ever used for riding. Flexible and tough as nails. These are the unlined version but they do make a cold weather pair. They are called the Cold Weather Grain DeerSkin Glove # 3211. Not using anything else from here on out and the price is right on.
I have a pair of FXRG gloves and they work for me down to 14* I only find the tips of my fingers start to get cold after an hour of riding. Just another idea...
Gerbing T5 Electric gloves are the only gloves to keep my fingers warm enough to ride. After three seasons of trying all kinds of gloves I gave in and bought them from a place that was going out of business. It's one of 2 luxury items I have for my bike. The other is my full face helmet.
I have Oakley gloves. They have hard knuckles, fit nice and keep the D***beaters warm. I got them cheaper then normal (www.usstandardissue.com) for the military folks and just oakley for others. They will work great for teaching the ahole on his phone that almost runs you off the road
This is a good thread with the cold weather coming! I'm looking at the same thing, I just have a thin pair I use for short commutes. I'm wanting something that basically keeps the chill out and that aren't too bulky. Some good info so far!
