Vance and HInes

I'm gonna get some vance and hines big radius pipes on my 10 super glide.....I've been told I need to get a power commander with them so the bike will run right. Is this fact or fiction?

if it's just pipes you should be ok. if you are changing the air intake in any way you should look into a fuel management system

Ask your self this question.. would you order a great steak and not eat it? My point is, if your gonna spend the $$ on some good pipes don't get cheap and not get high flow A/C.

maybe hes a vegetarian and just wants the pipes for now until he can afford the a/c & fuel management syst.

On my Fat Bob the previous owner fitted Screamin Eagles exhaust...
First thing I did was change air filter and get a Power Commander and had a mechanic tune it...
What a change !
The engine now feels alive and breathing

Agree with the rest of the crew. If the pipes are just for sound and/or look, no fuel management changes are needed. If you want those two and performance, you have to change the fuel management. Word of caution though, I did not have a good experience with V&H Fuel Pak. Go with either a Power Commander or HD if you decide to upgrade.

thanks for the advice.........its a money issue and a lack of patience, I want the sound and performance but cant afford both at once.....trying decide if i need to wait, or if i could go ahead with the sound until i could pay for performance
