check, still trying to run down the first dyno, but the hp/tq numbers are total the separate sheets for cylinders are just the fuel/air mixture. will post them shortly.
for 700 go 800 bucks you can take your bike to a guy named doctor engine or something like that and he will tune your eng, one of the sponsors on here swear by him, makes me feel cheap my h.d. dealer has a 30,ooo dyno computer and it cost me 150 boy did i screw up (naw)
We definitely need to see some sheets on this. It all sounds kinda weird that you gained more hp/tq the 2nd time you had it tuned, yet the #'s are lower than the first tune. Did the 2nd tuner do a base run to show the improvements? How does the 2nd tuners base run compare to the 1st tuners finished run? You also mentioned that the a/f was way off, was this apparent on the first tuners dyno sheet?

An "honest" dyno, will show lower numbers than some of these generous dyno's out there.
Either way, having a before/after run will show what any improvements did for ya.
I changed nothing on the bike between the above Dyno and the lower Dyno results. I know at least one of the sheets is blurred, but I don't have a scanner and had to take pics of the sheets.

Rear Cylinder pre-Dyno (this week)
Front Cylinder pre-Dyno (this week)
Front Cylinder post-Dyno (this week)
Rear Cylinder post-Dyno (this week)
It's not uncomon to lose or gain a point from one run to the next.
The dyno is measuring both cylinders on every pass.
But the AFR is sniffed in one pipe or the other (one cylinder or the other).
Nice looking sheets, by the way.
The first sheet is in std, that's why the numbers were higher. SAE is a lot more realistic.
Good accurate solid numbers on the later sheets.
If you average both (post) cylinder dyno sheets, your #'s are 79.88hp & 91.92tq out of a 103" w/cams? I'm not trying to be a smart a$$ or anything, but I put out 76.63hp & 90.41tq with just a stage 1. Something doesn't sound right, them #'s are really low for what you have done. I would've expected to see mid 80's hp and close to 100tq. What did the tuner say about the final #'s, were they happy with the outcome?
yeah I know that is the same thing I thought when I got the sheets. Especially when I had 90 & 103 to start and with the same set up, but I guess there is a differenc e between SAE & STD run sheets. Do you know if your numbers were STD or SAE?
The guy just kept telling me to lose my exhaust. As I said in a previous post he told me he had done a dyno on a guys 110 with my exhaust and got similar tq numbers [90's]. It just doesn't sound right to me either and why I was trying to see if anyone here could help me see the bigger picture... if there truly is one to see.
Doesn't powder pro Joe run that exhaust? I think he's 94/98 with his build with headwork...so maybe your dyno guy is correct and those pipes just really hold your bike back that extra 3-4 horses and 10 ft lbs........it would be interesting to see a comparison of changing to a good 2-1 and actually see if the exhaust is holding you back.
Numbers do seem pretty low for cams/BB kit though.
