I have a 2007 Dyna Street Bob 96ci. I want an oil pressure gauge where I can easily see it, not on the rocker next to my leg. Have had bad experiences in the past looking down while riding, like to keep my eyes up on road level. I have looked around and I see many handlebar mounts for clocks and temp gauges for Dynas but no oil pressure gauges. Does anybody know of a handlebar mount I can buy that will accept a vibration filled gauge? I find it absolutely amazing that you can find these things for a stupid clock but not for something important like an oil pressure gauge. Even more amazing is that HD did not implement this as OEM. Since the bike is air cooled the single most important gauge on a bike is oil pressure.

Ditto here. Out of all the Harley's Ive seen, Ive never seen a handlebar mounted oil guage. Often wondered why. Should be able to route the cable under the tank for a clean look.
hmmm... so you guys want to look directly at "what ever gauge", well, I did this(and by me , I meant I told the mechanic to do it ) , I bought a dakota digital multi gauge, and had it installed on the upper part of the apes kind of like a HUD, I told the mechanic to drill a hole on the apes, and run the cables thru it, worked like a charm, and the mount...its a lic. plate mount, turned side ways, the mech. said just to use a regular clamp mount it with a rubber ring inside, but I liked the other mount better, and yeah there is a little vibration but not enough to bother.

Actually, I remember now that MUD fabbed up a length of copper tubing and ran it from the guage housing and up to the top of his triple trees. Looked pretty good, although I think I'd prefer to try and find length of stainless braided tubing -- I havent seen anyone do that yet.
Yes that is where I am now. How much did your mechanic charge you. I have found a vibration proof gauge and currently am checking on custom lengths of flex sending cable. Only thing left is I want to put a brass tee (from the hardware store) at the crankcase and keep the old idiot lite sender also. I think I could do this myself if I could find all the items I need and had some gray areas explained to me about the gauge hookup. Appreciate any info you can give me.

Actually, MUD has two gauges mounted to the upper frontside of his fueltank console, one on each side.
I'm sure he'll chime in here shortly with some pictures!
Looks pretty good.

Checkout Jerzee Customs oil pressure gauges. They may be able to help you with parts to mount on the handlebars. I have mine mounted off the rocker box and just glance at it now and then, eventually you get so you can check the oil pressure in a nanosecond!
