Mustang Vintage Solo and if you buy direct you can return it in ten days if you don't like it. But I doubt you will. It's a honey for the money abd it arived in two days.
I don't see how you guys can ride that sundowner. I hated the thing. Rode it home, and put it on ebay. It was comfortable enough, but damn was it awkward. Put me in the wrong position somehow.
The wife hated it too. Said she always felt like she was sliding forward on it, and it put her up too high. Everybody is shaped different though, and I guess it works for some, and everbody is comfortable with something different.
Which is exactly why I recommend trying the mustang seats first. If you buy direct, you can return with a full refund in 10 days or less.
I am currently running a Mustang vintage 2 up. I think I like it. It narrows quickly in the front which prevents having the feeling that I'm trying to wrap my legs around a fifty five gallon drum to reach the ground, and the seating position is correct. I'm the correct distance from the handlebars, controls, ect. Initially, I feel like I'm sitting too high, but I'm trying to keep in mind that my stock seat had 6500 miles on it, and was well broken in, and that it didn't get comfortable until the last couple thousand miles. Only reason I'm changing seats is for the wife, and she loves the mustang.
Oh the things I do for that woman. Tour packs, sissy bars, mustang seats................................. Maybe I'll just buy "her" an ultra this year.
Keith take a look at the corbin solo, may want to get the backrest with it. The saddle is thinner then stock, leather, and foam is contour forming after ridden for awhile. Harley also has a leather solo saddle that looks interesting.
I am inseam challenged and had the same problem with sliding back on my seat. I also needed to be lower to the ground. We took the cover off of my seat, trimmed the foam down some where I needed to be sitting and added foam to the back to the seat. We put the cover back on. Putting the foam in the back of the seat pushed me forward. We also put 4" risers on to bring the handle bars back to me. Before putting the foam in the back of the seat, I could bearly reach my forward controls because of sliding back in the seat. Now I don't have that problem. It raised the back of the seat up a tad and gave me a little support. When we got through, you could bearly tell the difference between my new and improved seat and my seat before the changes.
Well,.... I switched to the H-D Tallboy seat and its gives me more legrom and lets me streach out alot more than I could with the factory seat, plus it gives good lower back support and is good on the buns for longer rides and well.
