I remember reading a while back that it is definitely bad to coast for long periods specifically because certain parts of the tranny will not be lubricated while the engine is off. Like the others you are way better of trailing or riding it where you have to go.

Yeah, I never liked the idea of riding the tires of any vehicle I owned on the ground while being towed. I have an auto trailer for my Jeep and think the welds and construction on the trailer-in-a-bag trailer are better. I would like to have an enclosed/better trailer, but this one fit the bill for what I needed, and it is easy when I need to drop off the bike or pick it up after work. I can put the trailer in the trunk/back bed of my truck in 15 minutes and keep on moving. Also with my car it has no weight so doesn't affect my gas milage. I used it to tow my bike from Miami to KS to Dallas and back and from KS to GA without one problem.

Wow, that trailer in a bag is pricey. $1195 for a single bike kit. For $700-$800, you could find a decent 5x10 trailer with fold-up ramp. I guess if space is a commodity, storing a full trailer would be harder to deal with than disassembling the TIAB and such.

I say 5x10, as I have used a 5x8 to move my bike and the fold-up ramp is mere inches from my fender on my WG. I'd like the extra space afforded by a 10' trailer.

Wow, did the prices go up that much? I bought mine about 18 months ago and it was only $800 and change... well, glad I got mine when I did then
