Default Progressive 418 series?

Anybody using this series on their dyna?

They look similar to the works shocks.

Just looking for a review might be changing my 412's for a different look and different ride...

Thanx

They work great; rebound adjustment is nice to have, but, the stock spring is too stiff solo for me at 190lbs on the lowest pre-load and there's no spring option from Progressive. After my passenger bought her own bike I put the stock FXDXT shocks back on. I had the 418's 1" lower to make pushing the bike backwards easier with the passenger and luggage.

Ditto. I had a set and took them off. They would work fine but the spring rate is too stiff even for a 220 pound rider and they offer no lighter optional springs. They could not have done any R&D on this design. I had a set and sent them back for improper spring rate and they still could not fix them. Only way they would work is if you haul a very fat girl around everywhere.

As a fellow FXDXT owner, our bikes have the best quality suspension Harley have probably ever fitted to a big twin. And you swapped the shocks for something less? When I want to move any of my bikes backwards, being a short-***, I/we get off the thing and push. Ride quality comes first, convenience when stationary is way down the list!
