too bad your 2000 miles away from me cuz i'd like to hear 'em.... i'm gonna get 'em from americanclassicmotors on ebay. he's taken care of me well on some other things i've bought and he has them for $509 with free shipping...i already have the pcIII and have been waiting to dyno tune until i get the pipes.
I bought mine from Eastern Performance for 489.95 plus 10.00 for shipping insurance but also free shipping. Have heard some people say that my present download might be ok but I really do not want to take a chance in burning up my engine so I am also getting the fuel pack which I understand is the samething as the pcIII. Manufacture price on that was 279.95 but with the place that I am buying the pipes, they have it for 213.95. Every little bit helps when you keep buying things for your scoot.
I like the way the look on deuce dude scoot so hopefully they will look good on mine.
Got the new V&H pipes on but my foot peg is hitting the pipe when I ride and everything is TIGHT. Also when I got through with the install I had no rear break because the peddle with hitting the pipe so we took off the bracket that holds the peg and brake peddle and put a spacer to move the peg and peddle to the right so now the brake is ok but still hitting the pipe with the peg while riding. Any thought????

There was no place to order for mid controls but the direction did say for mid control to use a spacer on the bracket to move the controls over which I did and that solved my brake rear break problem.
The foot peg arm is what it touching the pipes, not the peg itself. I could take that bracket and grind it down about a 1/8-1/4" and that should solve the problem but shouldn't have to do that.
Love the sound! I had the SE stage one but these are deeper sounding. I would recommend getting their fuel pack if you are FI. Very easy to set up and calibrate. The only problem was getting the harness and fuel pack under the seat.
I think I will take the brace that hold the foot peg on and grind it down a little, maybe about 1/4" should be fine. When I put the spacer on to move the peg and brake out a little it also dropped my brake peddle down but that wes easy to adjust.
Just thought I would let you know that I was able to fix the space between the peg and pipe without modifying. There is a bracket at the end of the pipes that you have to tighten FIRST before tighting down the intake that goes into the head. duh, when it doubt, read the directions. It also helps not to tighten the clamps on the heat shield till last.
With mid controls, this is what the direction say,
On models equipped with standard foot controls, it may be nescessary to space the right footpeg out to provide clearence of thr front exhaust pipe. It additional clearence is required, remove footpeg and install two 3/8" x 1" spacers between footpeg and frame.
I did that but still was not enough so I used a nut as a spacer and that worked. Picture above.
The fuel pack must set the mixture much better than the stock harley download because it appears to have more top end but then again it could just the the louder pipes. I know from 60 to 90, it seems to get there much faster. LOVE THESE PIPES!
Yeah, on the Bob it loves 75-80 in 6th. And a little less torque but lots more hp. They are loud (illegal if yer a throttle-twisting rev-boy), but my neighbors do not wake up when I leave in the morning and those awake say they rarely hear me leaving/coming back. All a matter of judicious use of the throttle. I recommend them for anyone that does not have a black denim 'Bob.
