i know a few of you guys here have the V&H big radius pipes. just kida wondering how LOUD are they? i currently have SEII slip ons and would like a little bit louder but i don't wanna make enemies with all the neighbors either. at the price of these things i wanna be pretty sutre i'm happy with 'em before i buy. i've seen a couple guys riding with what "looked like" the big radius pipes and they were way loud. never got to talk to them so i'm not sure if they really were big radius or maybe they were and these guys had the baffles removed??? any thoughts????
As far as decibel levels go, I have no idea, but I have them on my bob and they are pretty loud. I don't find them to be obnoxious at all, but some of my riding buddies say it is one of the louder bikes around.
Have a set on my Bob,
When you crack the throttle the bark pretty good
However if your easy on the throttle in your neighbourhood you shouldn't peeve anyone off.
Only medium loud - not too loud. They won't anger neighbours at idle or cruise. I've got a good friend with a 03 night train with the big radius. they sound great. But it's not a low pitched sound. they're a little more raspy with a nice crack when you throttle it.
Dark Kevin,
You could get some BCT's for your SEII's if you don't want to fork out the cash for the Big Radius.. They make the SEII's about 20% louder. If you need info do a search on BCT's in the Dyna Forum.

Iâve only had my new pipes a couple of weeks now. When I first road the bike I was concerned that to me they sounded very loud, so I asked a friend to ride the bike down the road for me, then back past me. To be honest they do not sound as bad to a pedestrian as you might think. They do make that great Harley rumble and only sound loud if you open it up.
thanks guy's. as far as the bct's for the seII's i'm running now, not really interested. i really really like the way the big radius' look and want
some more rumble, but just don't wanna kill my riding buddies or the subdivision. sounds like they should work just fine.....well, there goes
another pile of cash......[sm=sigh.gif]
Am still debating if it is worth the extra cash as I now have the SEII slip ons.
Did you get the fuel pack when you got your V&H big radius? I was told that those pipes would work with the download that I had when I had the SEII installed. Not sure that is correct though.
