Fat Bobs and Road Glides share some common features, and the Road Glide seems pretty nimble. I like the RGs and the RG Customs, I'm not an Ultra guy. This would be the touring model I'd investigate (though I drooled all over a few Police Road Kings I've seen, especially one that was nearly all gloss blacked out.) Still, as I'm not making as many 2 to 3 thousand mile trips as I'd really like, and the Fat Bob can handle those easily, I'm not in the market (and can't afford two motorcycles, especially since I don't even have a four wheeled vehicle!). That color and that bike looks great however. Congrats!
The deals must be really good lately; there have been quite a few moves from Dynas to Tourings here, and others who seem willing if not quite able. . . .
To me the Ultra is the deal because you can take off the lowers and the tour pack and still have the extra grunt from the bigger motor. It is a lot easier and cheaper to buy the ultra with all the extras than adding the extras later.
I'm not really a bagger guy but on a long trip it would be awful nice.
