Top of the fender to the bottom of the rack is about 1/2". It's a nice option to have. I like the looks of Motherwell's but don't like the way it mounts. This one's solid and can hold some weight.
Dose anyone have the quick detachable solo rack? If anyone has one how close to the fender dose it fit? Any photos would help.
I have one with the detachable passenger seat sitting on a shelf in my house. I installed it, put the seat on, ask the wife to come tell me what she thought, she sat on it, got off the bike and told me she wanted a higher back rest. So I replaced it all with a different setup. Now the rack and seat are on the shelf waiting for a new home!!!
I will post pics later of the whole setup. It is an all black setup.

I was a dumb *** today. I miss read this post and thought you were talking about the rigid mounted solo rack.
Thanks for the replys. I think I am going to get one. Saw some on EBay that I may see if they could be made to work with my seat. I know I can always put my solo back on for a trip but with my Daytona Sport seat I can ride all day.
