Handlebar controls fitment
I have been eyeing chrome controls for my Project '07 Street Bob. Most ads say for '96 to '06 Softails and Dynas. What changed in '07? Or is it just outdated ad info and the '07 and even newer are the same as the '96?

There has been many changes that are not easily seen. But some simple old parts can be used. Best bet is to get correct year you need.
Problems you could run into not getting correct yr and model needed
WRONG
1. switches
2. levers
3. wiring
4. brake line size
5. application..ie touring, sportster

Clutch/starter lockout is the first thing to come to mind. Brakelight switch actuation is the second. Use the controls made for your year. Dont take it for granted just because they look alike that they'll work
Chrome Hand Control Lever Kit p/n 45075-07
seems to fit "96-'03 XL models and '96-later DynaŽ and SoftailŽ models, and '96-'07 Touring models. (Does not fit Police models, or models equipped with hydraulic clutch.)"
