I would have to be completely sedated to deal with my scooter being at the dealer. I did the Screamin Eagle compensator/Clutch Spring along with the said upgrades. Total cost was right around 400 smackers and I did the labor.
Ditto on these thoughts and I too just did he same with my 06! Man what a difference with the Baker IPB in there too! Thanks to Joe for hooking me up with all the info and suggested parts to throw in there! Also did the 30T pulley...DO IT very bad AZZ!!!

I didnt do the 30t pulley as I felt my 1st gear was low enough and I like to putt around in 6th whan I am feelin lazy. I have heard alot of good about it though. I have to say that the upgraded compensator and clutch made a huge difference in performance and I also like the fact that the new upgraded tensioner keeps the chain tighter as well. You will notice a bit of whine from that, which I think sounds good.
I know this is getting away from the original thread, but that seems to be a dead issue in this thread, so have to ask about the 30T pulley. I am going to install it in my bike as soon as I get a job
Everyone that has had it done says do it, it makes a huge difference, what exactly are you realizing after the install?
Well, the bike has been in the shop for a week now and they found out what the noise was... They thought it was a lifter that was loose (noise was coming from the engine not the primary). But in the diagnostic time they found that the oil pump was shot and are replacing it tomorrow (took 5 days to get a new pump in). Anyone else ever have their oil pump fail? Guess there is reason to have an oil pressure gauge.
I never got any light nor did it ever throw any codes. Well hoping to get my bike back tomorrow and hoping not to have any more problems with the bike for a while.
Did they happen to check the run out on the crank and the cam plate bushings for wear? Oil pumps shouldn't just "wear out" unless there are contributing factors.

Didn't the '06 come with a 30T pulley? If not the 30, I do believe it's different than the '07 and ups.

I remember now...the '06 has a larger rear pulley, which gives the effect of a smaller front pulley that the '07 and newer are looking for.
From my dirt bike days, an easy way to understand gearing if you are looking to change it:
Adding teeth to the rear is like removing teeth on the front.

I couldnt tell ya what size pulleys I have. All I know is I have spent many miles on my bike and have always felt the gearing was spot on. I can drag race with 1st gear holeshots and cruise in 6th. Maybe since my 06 already has the lower gearing like some of you have mentioned is why I dont feel the need for any change. If you 07 and up guys have a smaller rear pulley I could see why you would want lower gearing. I definitely wouldnt want my 6th gear any taller as my 06 is perfect the way it is. If the 06 has a larger rear pulley why not just bolt on the 06 rear pulley and save the headache of removing the primary? It would be a good excuse to treat yourself to a chrome pulley.

Putting on a larger rear pulley would require a longer belt and the primary would have to come off any way. Dropping 2 teeth on the front pulley leave barely any adjustment on the stock belt.
Inspector, yes they did, but found nothing wrong. I wonder if the time when I rode it and found out that the bike had only about 12 oz of oil in it may have caused the pump to fail. (I believe that the dealership did not refill the crankcase after they put the compression release valves in the heads).

Just another reason why a dealer will not twist a wrench on my scooter.
