Just got a GoPro HD Hero 960, anyone else using this camera? My friend has the Motorsports GoPro and it's great. I'm wondering about function and picture quaity of the 960 verses the 1080. I don't care about the Slow-mo compatibility with the 720 60fps as the 960 doesn't have, it also isn't Bac Pac compatiable with the new stuff in the works, but don't care about that either. I would like extended battery, but will now have buy additional batteries for that.
Any and all input welcome, let me know pros and cons, if any, likes and dislikes before I open the package, 1080 or stick with the 960. I got his at Costco for the same online price at GoPro, but with the Costco package, you get the few extras, such as two replacement lens, screwdriver and two extra mounts.
I used one on and off most of last year. The biggest problem I'm having is windshield reflections
which is not the camera's fault. FWIW, Mythbusters are now using GoPro cameras in a lot
of their outdoor stunts.
If you run it in true HiDef mode, the scan rate is significantly slower and while the images
are great, the playback is a bit jerky. This video was taken in "normal" mode and then
uploaded as "HiDef". I haven't played with it much in recent months because I'm frustrated
with the windshield reflections which I'm hoping will be cured by installing a Batwing fairing.
I've seen some really good videos using this camera so I think I need to find a better mounting...
Take the link to YouTube and watch it there in full screen and 720 resoltution.

I just checked at Costco and there is no listing for it. Too bad...I love Costco and that camera looks great.
Here is a very rough cut that I've been working on as time allows... Shot with two Hero GoPro cameras. Not as polished as "bmotive" but it will get there.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7sOC5RIcec
Haven't seen you or the dogs out in some time, hope all is well. Ever want to go for a putt, just holler..
Thanks for the ride, Joe...where was this taken? Wish I were there. All those bikes...
No prob. That was outside of Fayetteville, Ar on Hwy 23 the “Pig Trail” during this years Bikes Blues and BBQ. A lot of bikes, a lot of cool people and a lot of good riding. Definitely something to check out if you ever get a chance.

Nice video. Dogs couldn't look happier. I like how you integrate the two camera videos back and forth.
