Hey Shini23, thanks for the tip on Eastern Performance. I used your coupon code, and with free shipping, mine came to $217.50. You won't find this cheaper anywhere. I've been looking for 9-months. Damn snow outside gives you nothing but time to read the forums and research these kinds of things, and spend money.
Got one too, and I'm extremely happy with it.
Video quality is way better then I expected (I got the 960 model), there's a ton of mounts to attach it in any situation. I had it mounted to my bars so far.
It has a bit of a fish-eye lens, so you get a slight bent view (you see more then a 'normal' lens would show). It isn't bothersome at all, you get more of a sense of speed, even at low speeds.
Something to keep in mind: it's useless filming in the dark. Audio quality depends on the closing lid used. The water-proof one doesn't allow for good audio quality.
Hi Deep6. Great video. I bought the GoPro HD last week. I recorded a quick video and have begun to play with the video editing. Two questions if you don't mind. One, what video editing program are you using? Two, how did you lay in the Metallica audio in the background? I've tried putting some of my music in the background and I think it gets hung up on the license protection and the software won't let me put the audio file in the background. I do have some not so legal downloaded music, which CAN be written in the background. I don't want to do this. I already own tons of legally purchased music that I would prefer to use.

Just a heads up for anyone interested, that code no longer works. There's a new one however: GAMEDAY

I use Pinnacle Studio 12 for my videos and I've had no problem adding mp3 music to the video, legal or other wise. As to uploading to Youtube and music, you could have some problems whether or not you bought said music legally. EMI will not allow any of their music to be used and the video will get pulled very quickly. Sony/BMG has worked out a deal where they will allow their music to be used provided you allow a link to be placed on your video where the music can be purchased.

Thanks Tom. I'm using Pinnacle 12 also, but it won't let me drop music in the background. I've tried music that I've legally purchase, ripped from my own CD's, and downloaded from other sources. The only music that will work are tracks downloaded from other less commercial sites.
Also, did you have any trouble with Pinnacle recognizing the GoPro HD MPEG-4 file? I had to pass mine thru a converter program, making the file into an AVI, before Pinnacle would import.
easy fix for youtube is slow the timing down 1 beat in the music then the computer should not pick it up, its on my other login I will get the write up on how to do it and post, I got to get out and get some clips with my new bars etc,
