I had Rush 1.75s on mine and they sounded great.I then went with a set of V&H Big radius blacks that I found on here for $200.00 and a year old. I pulled the oem baffles, cut them down and stacked a set of Big city thunder QQs in with the cut downs, sounds awesome. I never was a fan of the shotgun fatbob pipes and I like the black look. Mike
Have an 08 fat bob and have been thinking aboutexhaust systems. boughtthe bike with rush slip ons not sure of size. Have been thinking about the V&H big shots or 2-2 radius. any feedback on sound and opinions would be great..
If you search, you will find alot more info on all the different types of exhaust you want. You could spend hours researching all the different options, and then you could ask a more detailed question.
Save some money and just get a full exhaust the first go round, or get some used slipons from someone that went that route and is now getting a full exhaust.
As a couple of previous posters have already suggested, do a web search on "Harley exhaust" and you'll be amazed at the number of vids posted concerning custom/performance exhausts for our bikes. Gives you an opportunity to see how different pipes look and sound on your particular model. Having had a T-header on my FXR for umpteen years, I decided to go the mellow route and put Rush 1.75 slip-ons on my recently acquired FXDF. Fit and finish are excellent, and the sound output is several db above stock, yielding a more respectable Harley sound. Have fun choosing. Peace.
