I have an 09 Dyna Low Rider I am wanting to get an LED headlamp for. I installed the 5 3/4 in 'Bullet' headlamp, and Harley sells a 5 3/4 LED lamp. Just seeing if anyone knows if they will work together??
Also, if anyone is wondering why spend that much for a light, consider LEDs are roughly 10,000hrs vs 400hrs with the stock light. If you average ride time is 400hrs a year, then the LED potentially could last twenty-five years. If you replaced a the stock every year for twenty-five years, that'd roughly be $2,500 vs $500 or less. Plus, LED is brighter thus safer for you.
However, with that, do the LED lights come with some sort of warranty? I have to wait til Monday to call a Harley Dealer to see if they can help, but I am in Iraq again, and it's hard to have 'clear' reception at times.
I put one in my 2010 FXD. Even though it's not listed to fit that year, the unit fit right in the 5 3/4 stock housing. I can't imagine a better light; it's even stronger than HID. Pricey, but worth it here in night-riding deer country (Wisconsin).

I appreciate the heads up. I have no doubt that the light works great, but I am unsure since there is ONLY a 90 day warranty for something that costs 400 dollars. I just wish they'd say how long they should last.

Well, just picked one up. 20% off and $20 walk in gift card on black Friday at my local HD dealer. Glad to get it there than over the net as they are super friendly folks and deserve to make a living.

Hey brother, did you get the 5-3/4 HD Part # 73273-11? Can you let us know how it works with your bike, including your year and model of bike? Thinking about getting the Bullet Headlamp kit and the LED headlamp. Thanks!

FYI:
Harley LED Prices
7in - $525
5 3/4in - $400
4in - $385 (pair)
Where are you getting 400hrs from a stock headlight? I sold my 2000 FXR4 with 36K miles in 2008 and the stock headlight was working fine. I'm pretty sure that was on a lot more than 400 hours. Not to say the LED isn't worth it (it is expensive), but I wouldn't justify it that way, I'd justify by the far superior light output though.
