Default Bagger fender setup for a wideglide forks

Okay, so as part of my bagger conversion, I decided to pick up this metal front fender that is an FLH style fender, but has been narrowed to work better with the skinny tired 19" and 21" wheels. I found the fender on ebay, and is sold through this seller...

It IS however a Custom Chrome part...here is the part info.

YES...I know it's not made in the USA, sorry, but I want the fender, so it stays!

Here is a painted pic from thier site.

Here is what it looks like in my home.

It comes with these really nice polished aluminum spacers, so if you find that they are needed, they are available.

This fender is kind of ROUGH......I am going to have to file the sharp edges, and I am going to have it powdercoated gloss black.

Lastly, I am putting these sweet "twin cam" vintage looking badges on it!

Here is where I got them!

I'll post pics of the install and finshed pics as I get there!

Get that thing prepped, painted and installed, I'd like to see how it looks installed.

That's a great looking fender Joe. I like it better than the one I picked up. Can't wait to see it on the bike.

Thanks but it's fiberglass....... much rather have a metal fender like yours. I just wasn't sure if I'd keep it or not so I went cheap ($70). Now that I like the skinny bagger fender look, I'm definitely interested in this fender you found.

looks good Joe! be sure they wet sand and buff that out so it looks like your paint... if the do it right you can really get it to bling... here is the last fender we did in gloss black was a spot on match

I didn't know you could wet sand and buff powdercoating!

When I had my bobber frame powdercoated, it came out like glass!

Well, jsut check in with me from time to time, and on this thread, I'll post everything here. If you buy it through Rullo on eBay it's about $150 shipped to your door....then the fun of fitting and bondo, sanding and paint awaits!

It is rough metal. I will be filing down the razor sharp edges with gloves on, and fitting it before it goes for finishing.
