Tank Cleaning
I painted my gas tank this weekend and want to install it this week. I want to clean it first so can I just use some dish soap and water then rinse and let dry out a day or so? What has anyone esle used for this?

Do you mean inside the tank? If so I'd just swill it out with some Gas or AvGas giving it a good shake to dislodge any crud and then pour it out. Obviously, be environmental and dispose of the Gas sensibly :-)

Yes, I am referring to the inside of tank. I want to clean it before installing it and want to know what is best to use. Should stated that better. Thanks for the input.

I used hot water and laundry detergent on my Sporty tank then dried it with the blowing end of my shop vac. Stuck the nozzle in the fill hole and turned it on for 20 minutes. dry as a bone. Then rinsed with some fresh gas & dried again.
