Do you still get the wind buffeting with the bat wing like you do with the shield?
I'm hoping that will improve, but it's a gamble. I fitted the Memphis Shades clamp-on lowers
to my 2009 FXDC and I found that they did improve things. I wear a modular helmet so while
I'd like to get a buffeting reduction, my main concern is hand protection as many of us here
in New Mexico ride year round as while the temps get down, the weather is usually very
clear and my Gerbing heated gloves just can't keep up with 20 degrees and 70mph for
a couple hours at a stretch.

The clamp I refer to would be for the blinkers.

Let me look around a bit and see what I can find.

Mike I can't tell from your sig pic if those are black mini-apes you have, but it looks like it. If so, you won't have to relocate the turn sigs -- I didn't have to do so when I put this fairing on my wide glide.

That's the stock FXDC bar with 4&1/2" curved risers. Based on the trial fit, I'm sure
they'll need to be relocated, which will in turn compromise the MS lowers, but we'll see
once the mounts are made.

I took my fairing out to the bike today, and held it up to start to get an idea what was going to be requried, as far as fabrication.
All I'm going to need is my fork clamps, which are in the mail and heading my way.
I had to pull my bars back a hair, and move my blinkers below the bottom tree for clearance.

It would be nice if I can move the blinkers back up later, but so far, it looks like this is going to have to be done.

If I want to push my bars forward after all is said and done, then I will have to notch the windscreen on both sides.
This COULD be done and look correct, if you had the widscreen cut and cleaned up by a glass shop.
We'll see when I get it all bolted up. I will also have to raise my headlight and bring it out a hair. (I knew that was coming)

Waiting on those darn brackets!
