Hi everyone,
I recently found put through pulling my plugs realized that my dynamics bob is running lean. I talked to Harley and was told that I needed a screaming eagle tuner pit on my bike and that my bike could not be adjusted without it. I know that screaming eagle has the best all around tuner put there but am I doing the right thing. By the way they have a special here 600.00 installed and dynoed.
Do you have anything done to the bike or is it completely stock? Do you have any plans on doing anything to the motor in the future? There's no sense in spending that kinda money on a tuner if your not going to take full advantage of what it can do. Probably one of the cheapest solutions would be look into something like a V&H fuel-pak or Nightriders xied's.
Agree with Red Devil but that's a hell of a price if it actually includes a dyno. I'm doing the same next month along with an SE intake for about the same $$$, no dyno and that's with a 20% discount.
Service dude told me the EPA is giving HD some major sh*t about their programmer as it allows you to program it outside of EPA regs. He thinks it will be discontinued before long.

Don't go through the dealer. If you want the SESTP then get it from Zannotti's and find a GOOD performance tuner that can use the SESTP. Or find a GOOD tuner and make sure he is a good tuner and then spend you money on what he wants to tune with.
And yes the bikes run very lean as they are delivered.
.... I know that screaming eagle has the best all around tuner ....
How do you know that? Around here I think you will find the TTS tuning kit to be better for less money. What kind of dyno tune is the dealer doing, just loading a canned map, or the works including setting closed loop to other than 14.6? Just saying that there have been many riders here scammed by their dealer... and tuning can have a wide meaning...
Thanks for all the helpful info. I bought my bike from a private owner who put sampson pipes and a K&N filter on it and I tried to contact him to see if there was anything done to it but no call back. I agree with you cold case about dealers scamming riders but I live in backwater Kentucky and good speed shops are few and far between and will rip you quicker than Harley.
