I had 11" shocks on my '06 Street Bob but they rode VERY rough and I was regularly scraping the pipes through a right turn. So I split the difference between them and the spongy 12" stock shocks and settled on a set of 11.5" Progressive 440s. They look great and still have enough suspension travel for a decent ride:
