I just bought some leather pro bags from a member here on the forum. As I'm waiting for them to be delivered I've been trying to figure out what kind of rear turn signal relocation kit to go with. I've searched all over the site and web and I've seen several products, but very little pictures with the 10 SB rear end. Doesn anyone have any recommendations or pictures of what they've done?
I was looking for something that got rid of the tailight and moved the plate and signals under the fender. Anyone seen done something like that.
I saw this setup a month or two ago and contacted them about on the street bob with the chopped fender kit (I have) they said the width of the fender was to thin to put a plate under and they couldnt makethis option do to that.
Anyway, I plan on getting the axle covers like dpriest has, they are the bigger ones that are attached aroundthe swing arm (more secure), drilling a hole in the bottom and mounting my sigs so they are hanging underneath of them. (this could be an issue if you have long pipes, at or past the pipe.)
The MoCo relocation kits is ugly and I wouldn't use it if I had to.
Blueangel73, thanks! I agree about the Moco kit. I thought that, for the style of the bike, that this kind of kit would make total sense. I'd like to see your when you get it done.
I might go with this kit for now.
I wish I had seen that Rivco kit when I did this, that's better looking than what the Moco offers. I got frustrated and made my own bracket with some scrap steel strap in the garage.
I did use the HD relocation kit on my bob. Doesn't kill me to see it with the bags on, but it is HORRIBLE with the bags off - I keep the bags on all of the time, though. I didn't do enough research before I put these on last winter. Wont make that mistake again. Here are the pics from when I put them on last winter - don't have any with the bags off though - think my camera might break if I tried to take those pics.
