Contemplating another headlight change on my Fat Bob...

Thanks for the link, interesting ebay site too. I am getting the 7"LED light for my Ultra do you think the Stock 09 Light from the Ultra will fit into this housing?
Looks fine where it is. Drop a LED headlight from HD in there to light up the night. I did on the stock 5 3/4 and it was a huge difference. The 7" looks great on the FatBob but out of place on my FXDC.
I'm totally on board. I had the exact same issue. Put a custom headlight in the wrong spot and the bike looks goofy. A small mount change can make ALL the difference!!!
when I did the Fatboy light I first used the mounting block the was on the light off the fatboy and thought the same about the positioning. But didn't change anything because I was waiting to add the auxilary lights first.
What I ended up doing was going to the mounting block the was originally on the dyna. Only about 3/4" taller but made a big difference in the look even before the other lights went on.
the headlight swap was pretty much plug and play. removed the wire connectot from the plug and pulled the stock harness from the light with the grommet. Put it back together with the FB light
For the aux. lights i made some mounts attach to the tree clamp bolts. actually replaced the bolts with longer and added spacers which i also made, then polished it all. Relocated the signals at the same time. Spent a good day on the whole project.
