Default heal location

For guys/gals that ride with forward controls without heelrest, when you are just cruisin how are resting your feet on the pegs? This is my first bike with true fwds and I was riding with my heel just aft of the peg. I found on longer jaunts my fwd hips were getting sore. I tried setting my heels on the peg and it seems more comfy. I want the kurakian switchblades!

Check out our sponsor, Eastern Performance.

I got the Kuryaken large pegs with heelrests PLUS the matching smaller passanger pegs for $102 shipped to my door.

Most places wanted $99 for just the pegs w/ heelrests alone.

When I first went to forwards, my thigh muscles got tired feeling...guess i was more used to the mids than I thought. It feels great now with the heelrests.

Buy them...you will not regret it!

Yeah, what he said. Do a search for heel rests on the dyna forums. There has been a lot of discussion about this.

Just went to heel rest on mine. Took awhile
to get use to them, but now I really like them.
Very comfy on the longer rides.

A lot of people change their peg setup, or add different kinds of heel rests...and those things work. But another thing people don't always think of is their seat. I have two different seats, and the 'pillow' style seat pushes me farther forward...with that seat, I get the soreness you're talking about...if I ride for extended periods of time. At the same time, if I ride with the sidekick seat, I'm farther back and down, and no soreness at all.
Just figured I'd throw this out there. You're seat does make a difference.

Ive got a set of the switich blades and love um on long trips , but found that I have only used them about 3 times in 12,000 miles . I usually just rest my heals on the pegs , I can ride for hundreds of miles that way . Im 5 ' 10 , so thats streched out for me
