I have the same kury mounts as bberck. Keep in mind though, the bolts in the kury mount arent the same thread as the stock signal housings. At least the ones I received werent.
Ya I forgot about that. I picked up new bolts at ACE.
I just ordered the HD kit from Lake Shore HD, I like having as much light as posible visible, the Kurys have the hood visor on them. I live in Miami and need every advantage I can think of to avoid getting run over. I will also probably add the HD fog lamps and LED headlight.
Here's my setup: HD relocation in the standard position - under the bottom triple tree. Two blazer driving lights mounted on a base that mounts with the headlight bolt. These lights are point out to either side, and light the side of the road about 30-40 yards out. Headlight is a FatBoy 7", with Sylvania/Osram UltraSilverStar bulb. ... I can and have, ridden at night with my sunglasses on...
Nice, I might go with this option, did you drill out teh triple tree to mount the blazers?

Keep in mind the trees were redesigned in 08 and this style mount doesn't work on 08+ models.
well i guess i should have read this thread all the way through. I have an 08 fat bob, and just bought the drag specialties brackets but guess they wont work, super..lol
I'd rather keep mine more visible, near eye-level, but just under the tree is OK. Just applying a small piece of black electrical tape to the rim of the lens blocks most of the unwanted backscatter.
Trust me they are more visible down at the forwards because the head light doesn't drown them out at night. Especially at night my light foot print is huge compared to up on the bars or trees. As someone has stated before ( in another thread) a lot of car turn sigs are down low. I can tell you my 4x4 SUV turn sigs and headlights are eye level and bright but that 6k lb SUV is still invisible sometimes.
