A few of us were talking a while back about buying a cheap pipe on Ebay and refinishing/building it. Ran across this one last night.

I bought my TH used off of ebay. It came off an old softail. Didn't have a mounting bracket or O2 bungs. I paid $120 with shipping. It was pretty beat up from dragging through corners so I filled and grinded all the scuffs then I cut and rewelded it so it has more ground clearance. I also built my own mounting bracket rather than buying one.

I think you were one of them that mentioned doing this. I got lucky. I found one with a good finish. Still had to make a bracket and weld in O2 bungs… All in all I think I got away with about $250 in it. Hell of a lot better than $600…
If this is still $20 when the auction is up, Im buyin it for a spare. : )
