Just got a 2011 wide glide (sedona orange)..the bike is awesome - but is much too quiet. Going to go with the Rush 2.25 slip-ons. If I do - do I need to mod anything else? Download? Air cleaner? Rush is telling me I'm fine without any mods. Help!!!!
My last bike had Rush slip-ons and I bounced around between the 1.75 and the 2 inch baffles. Between those 2, there was a surprising amount of difference between the two (flow wise). On the dyno you could see distinctly that the latter had much more flow. the numbers reflected it.
With 2.25 baffles, I wouldn't run them without adding fuel to the mix. 1.75" max without adding fuel. (In my opinion).
Keep in mind, that while 1/4 inch don't sound like much,...... figuring the area of a circle suddenly changes that illusion. Adding 1/4 to the diameter adds a ton of area to the bigger circle. Surprising amount of restriction goes away.
That, and you will likely find the 2.25's a little too loud. The 2 inchers were pretty obnoxious.
As far as Air filter, for sure you need to add fuel after that. However, I see it as a "must do" mod, considering how much better the bike performs afterward.
More air in, more air out. The motor will love it!

This is great info - thanks so much!! I was going back and forth between the 2.00 and 2.25 - but I like it very loud - so I might stick with the 2.25s and do the mods you suggest.
