I just picked up my 99 fxdl with 14,000 miles on it from a used car dealer who had it on consignment ,from a private party . He was posted on craigs list asking $6800 , I went over , offered $6400 cash , the deal was done .Great bike with lots of chrome add ons , tight motor .

Two years ago, I brought my 98 FXDL. He wanted $7500, I ended up getting it for $5700 and a .22 pistol. Has aftermarket WG/front end, 6-speed trans,
Python pipe's, ported heads, SE 54 cam, Mik-42 carb. When it had 10,000 miles on it it dyno at 86 TQ and 89 HP. I'm at 38,000 miles now. I had to change to a different seat, to keep my bone'e butt in the seat on fast start's/speed shifts.
This bike was org/built by HD Jamestown, back east. I got it here in NV.

i think that price is little on high side, i had rode a 06 wide glide before i boght my 07 and i like the 96 more and enough to let the 06 go with more crap on it for same price. just how bad you want it

I'm not a dealer buying kind of guy. Unless you have cash when you walk in there. I like to get my financing from the bank and then work out a cash deal with a dealer. But thats me! Plus I never buy new! Good luck!

I chose the TC96 over the TC88 when I was looking for a new ride last August. I found a 07 FXDL with 3600 miles, Stage 1 Vance and Hines, Service manual, Cover, 3 seats and a helmet for $9700. I say keep looking and a private seller will be much cheaper than the dealer would be. I live in NY and if I bought the bike through the dealer I would also have to pay tax on the full value of the bike. Since it was a private sale, I was able to save even more money. There are a lot of great deals out there you just need to keep looking until the right bike falls into your lap.....
