I am looking into putting the eliminator on my FXDX. I have a question about the license plate holes. How is the Eliminator mounted? Does it use the plate holes at all? I see some models come with a little triangle plug to cover the holes. Don't know if any wiring goes through the holes or anything.
The reason I ask is because I am getting ready to have my tins painted, and I was going to have them patch the plate mount holes and paint over them, just want to make sure I'm safe to do this and it wont' interfere with the Eliminator, don't' want to have to re-drill anything.
Anybody know of a place to get the best deal on the Eliminator?
From what I have seen the eliminator mounts in the same place as the tail light was. All the tail light wiring comes through that hole. The three holes above that are for the license plate bracket and no wires goes through them. Hope that helps
