Did you wash the salt dust off your bike after? It could eat away your bike over winter. Be careful.
QFT...brutal stuff, especially against black wrinkle paint on the guts.
This past New Years Day it got to about 50 degrees up here in CT, the snow from earlier in the week was melting heavily. I got 3 rides in that day....one with the wife on the back. Towards 4pm when it was starting to get dark, I was done..and gave the bike a good washing...pulled in the garage, 'n toweled her dry.
Good stuff. Would love to take a spin on my scoot. It's just been too cold here in Virginia, plus we had a snow storm on Christmas Day and the day after, and there's still salt on the road. Might snow again this weekend. Hoping for a good rain to wash the salt off the roads and a little warmer weather (at least 40 degrees).
It must be 75 degrees out on the Eastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula. This is our peak riding season. We have a suckling pig roast at the Hyatt this weekend followed next weekend with a 250 mile ride down the coast for an overnight at the resort!!
Come on over & see us, it'll give us an excuse to reciprocate when it's 110 here in the summer!!
I'm in NE Ohio myself. Took about a 30 mile ride on Sunday, high temp of 28 degrees but the sun was out and the roads were dry. Some of the guys I ride with and I were supposed to take a ride Christmas day but it was snowing and slick out so we decided not to go. A dear friend of mine that rode with us passed away of a heart attack last spring, but before he died we promised we would all ride with him on Christmas. It felt good to get out and at least half *** keep my promise. The looks you get from people are pretty priceless, too haha. Now that's outta my system it's time to start tearing down for paint.
25 degrees today, and rest of the week we are not getting over 20...
Can deal with the temp. I guess, its the snow packed rutted out alley and snow packed streets that make for no escape until hopefully March; god forbid Feb.

Man, I've got to say boys, I just can't do it. My bob and the hubbies bikes are sitting in storage all put away under piles of snow. Even if the weather was a bit warmer, I can't imagine driving the bikes that I love on these salt covered roads while the cagers don't have a thought in their minds about us being out there. You guys definitely have guts that I don't. More power to you. Be safe. You're def. more man than this girl.
